WIRING

WIRING
Since my wiring on the subaru engine is a JDM version and theres not a english version of the wiring diagram or anything on this engine unless your in Japanese. I decided to study the Wrx diagrams and wiring to configure up where the sensors were located and mark them. i would pull the wiring plug from each sensor and label the wiring what sensor it was plugged to, by wrapping masking tape around the wiring and label it. Then i removed the wiring harness loom from the engine and connect it to the main wiring loom and be sure to label everything. I boxed it up and sending it to Tom, my wiring guy. Hes going remove what needs to be removed and have it to where i can tie it into my 74 VW super beetle wiring.
Sending the wiring off Sept 8th after labor day, he should get it when he comes back from vacation, should take a month or two for converting it. I'm in no rush.
End of Oct. the wiring is on its way back to me, should be getting it any day. Tom also included  a ecu wiring guide to go by and what was what. So far without seeing my wiring, im impressed with his work, by asking me tons of questions, and keeping communication. Most wiring guys wont even any of that.
The wiring will be where I can hook up aftermarket gauges including boost control n etc, also the ac if i should want it later on, since i have the original subie ac compressor. For some odd reason my engine didn't have the purge solenoid valve or cpc, There wasn't a wire for it on the harness and also there wasn't one on my intake manifold either, so assuming the japanese guy obsolete it before the engine got to me. Tom also added a fuse box, interface black box, extended the VSS speed sensor wires out to where it'll be attached from firewall to cv joint, as theres alot of other stuff im not even covering on this, that he's done. i got the wiring today, it looks awesome, hes labeled the interface wires n vss wires for me n it looks great. im really impressed. I'll have to make a interface box to hold the wires.

First thing is getting sheet metal n welding rods, to make the firewall  box behind the rear seat before adapting the wiring onto the motor and making the interface wiring box.
